For my magazine cover and poster i felt that i would not use the same image i would look to differentiate as the typical conventions would suggest that the pictures would vary so that the poster gives an insight to the film whereas the magazine cover was more the main charecter and small hints about the film. Therefore i got my actor to wear al dark clothing, ragged if it was possible and wear a mask that somewhat resembled freddy cruger to give the horror genre impression on the audience, the images came out well in the practise shoot and i felt that they would be ideal for what i was looking for, therefore when it came to the real shoot i made sure that the facial image was correct and the clothing somewhat resembled what a murder may look like. Obviously this was a hard charecter to create as i felt that copying a murderer from another film would be plagirsm and therefore i would have to capture features that would be individual to my charecter so that it would set him apart from charecters in other movies.
Once the pictures had been taken all i had to do was to add them to photoshop and then crop them so that they suited the cover and poster and they would be done as previously i had already created the template for the images to be placed into. However some of the pictures were not of great quality such as the one below and therefore would not be able to go into the coursework. Also the use of the mask makes it seem very unrealistic and therefore i felt that the pictures i had taken wouldnt be of much use as they would be very hard to incorporate realistically. Therefore i had a second image collection session where i got images of the main charecter looking to one side and then the other, and had the idea that i could use these to give the effect that he was looking into the darkness so that with little idea of what there was. This gives a good indication of him being lost and not feeling safe where he is.
