Second Filming Session

Second Filming

For my second session of filming i used one of my classmates houses, he lives in an old hotel and was the perfect setting for my next peice of filming to be located. I asked my classmate Stephen Thurley to be my actor and he was the perfect man for the job as he was what i felt the man in the film would look like from the begging as he did not look like he had just come from school he looked like he was casual and had the perfect features for the job. I asked him to wear casual clothing as with any A2 production their is little or no budget and therefore he used suit jeans and a plain shirt. Once ready we set up the camera in the corridor and i asked him to walk towards the camera like we had done in the first session and carry out similar acting, he done this well acting as though he had been to the property before and recognised it but just couldnt understand why he was there. For this shot i am going to split it into two parts in the trailer so that i can begin with it and then come back to it like the name suggests "FLASHBACK." Following this i carried out an over the shoulder shot of him walking through a door into another corridoor just to add to my shots so that when im editing i can use them and incorporate them should they be required otherwise i will aim to use them as part of the outtakes, i just felt they would be handy to have should i need extra clips.

With the above shot we had not moved the peices of furniture from the hallway therefore i did not look suitable to go into the movie so this peice of filming will not be used as part of the final film but it was helpful to do and i have now learnt from my mistakes and will remember not to leave items in the shot which will not suit what the film is about.

With the below shot i had left the camera on zoom from the shots before and therefore when i had come to film the next shot it had very little focus and was not even incorporating the actor, this is another error from which occured by accident and by doing this again i learnt and now remember to check before starting so that i am not wasting my time and the actors time by having to retake shots for little or no reason.
